The Romanian Society of Bioengineering and Biotechnology (SRBB), affiliated with the European Federation of Biotechnology (FEB), in collaboration with the National Institute for Research and Development for Biological Sciences (INCDSB), the Center for Functional Genetics, the Institute of Genetics, Physiology, and Plant Protection, State University of Moldova, Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB), CRIOMEC S.A., Banca Comercială Română S.A, and VWR International GmbH, with the support of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), is organising the conference Modern Biotechnologies in the Sustainable Development of the Danube Delta which will take place on September 23-24, 2025 in hybrid form, at Murighiol, Tulcea county, Portului street no. 92 at the DANUBIUS Center of INCDSB. The link for the online participation will be posted on the conference page and will be communicated via email to the registered participants.

Symposium Topics:

  1. Biotechnologies in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem; applied biotechnologies in environmental rehabilitation
  2. Interconnections biotechnologies, human health, natural products and personalised medicine & nutrition
  3. Sustainable development, biodiversity and bioresources for bioeconomy
  4. Ecosystem status monitoring (including remote control sensors, observation stations, platforms etc.)

Deadline for application: 31.07.2025

Participants are invited to submit an abstract of their intended contribution (max. 300 words), accompanied by a short biographical note (max. 100 words) of the presenting author, along with a photo, by email to: [email protected][email protected]. The abstract should follow the provided template, which is available for download at the following link.

Following peer review, selected in extenso papers will be published in scientific journals indexed in international databases: Romanian Biotechnological Letters, Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry, and Chemistry Journal of Moldova, contributing to the dissemination of high-quality research aligned with the themes of the conference. ~The deadline for paper submission is September 30, 2025, using the same link indicated above.~
