Corina Certan

Coordinating scientific researcher in the field of ecology and environmental protection at the Institute of Ecology and Geography of Moldova State University. I work within the Ecourbanistic Laboratory, specializing in biodiversity assessment and the evaluation of environmental impacts on urban ecosystems. I am the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers in the field of floristic diversity in urban ecosystems. I am also the author of the monograph Assessment and Restoration of Biodiversity in the Urban Ecosystem of Rezina under Significant Anthropogenic Impact (Case Study: „Lafarge Ciment” (Moldova) S.A. quarry) and the co-author of six other monographs. My research focuses on urban flora, invasive plant species, the frequency of herbaceous species in urban ecosystems, the estimation of the productive potential of plant associations, and various threats impacting biodiversity.
