Speaker
Nicoleta Siminea
I’m a scientific researcher at the INCDSB, specializing in the field of bioinformatics. I have a strong background in pharmacology and AI. My research primarily focuses on developing computational methods to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. My expertise encompasses network biology, statistics, and ML techniques. I employ network modeling of protein-protein interactions to identify specific characteristics of various diseases, ranging from biomarkers to target proteins for therapeutic intervention. I often apply the synergistic use of sequential analysis tools, statistics, and network modeling. Additionally, I integrate machine learning algorithms with Raman spectroscopy to explore innovative approaches for brain tumor diagnosis.
