Simona Carmen Lițescu Filipescu
Senior Researcher and President of the Scientific Council at the Centre of Bioanalysis, National Institute of Research and Development for Biological Sciences (INCDSB) in Bucharest, Romania. She earned her PhD in Chemistry. Specializing in analytical chemistry, her expertise encompasses chromatography, electrochemistry (notably cyclic voltammetry), biosensor development, antioxidant assays, and mass spectrometry. She has led the development of analytical methods for characterizing bioactive plant compounds and creating environmental sensors for monitoring water quality and pollutants. With over 100 publications, Dr. Lițescu’s research bridges fundamental analytical techniques with applied environmental and biomedical sciences monitoring water quality and pollutants.
